teufelswerk the german for devils work is hells masterpiece and a towering double album follow up to 2004s ny muscle and his breakthrough 1998 opus munich machine. across 16 exquisite tracks divided into two themes, night and day, hell weaves an intoxicating spell. night sees hell in more familiar nocturnal surroundings as detroit and chicago grooves battle the ghosts of kraftwerk, neu! and daf with notable vocal contributions from bryan ferry and p. diddy.

straight outta the grimey pits of glasgow comes taz buckfaster... don rwina akkachar has picked up this young moroccan producer after hearing a few of his astonishing productions. by having the same background it was clear that these guys needed to work together, and this 12inch is what hard work and sweat can deliver.

la danse de l hibouthe fourth release with bucketround follows the path left by his past references, not disregarding the exploration of new horizons. oval future face (bucketround recs) grants us his peculiar way of understanding electronic music. avoiding the hype or settled guidelines la danse de l hibou brings us right in the middle of the night where nocturnal birds of prey hunt. we are in front of his deepest work so far, full of details and rhythmical shifts shrouded in minimal sound with its own soul... as if it was meant to be just for this work, it is apt for lounge listening, dancefloors or even forests. the re mixes collection does not fall short on quality: pablo bolivar (regular) as usual everything he touches turns into gold and this time pablo does not disappoint. nimble groove full of hectic changes and sudden pauses enriches this melodic remake. a real dancefloor hit. angel galan (add sensor) theres no rule for crafting remixes and angel is the clearest example. an amazing explosion of multicolor strokes transformed into tangled logic sound.

asd008 sees the return of alex krueger and a welcome one at that! this oneÆs 5 tracks deep (including a digital exclusive) and includes a pair of fine remixes from londoner-in-berlin, mark henning, ôblasted bitchö is tigerskin at his best. the title cut is a feast of sonic trickery, with sounds playing off each other beautifully to create a wide, dense soundscape which, paired with clipped percussion, clever dancefloor arrangement, evil laugh & crude vocal sample this one delivers tough. henning, a man known for his abilities with sound design himself, takes a darker route with his interpretation which, while still driving, is more of a heads down late night affair û riddled with oddball delays and some unnerving vox efx. ôwhat theö takes a turn to the darkside, moody, sharp, reveb laden and pulsing, the track is real heavy business watch out for that unholy belgian hardcore synth riff a la ômentasmö, thereÆs a real æmomentÆ in there. to round off the original cuts. responseö continues seeing tigerskin provide a straighter groove but one which displays some sterling keyboard work and strong break. finally, henning provides another remix of the title track as the digital only addition all too important these days. futuristic deep, tech-house is about as close as a description anyone needs for this superb final piece of an equally superb package.
